Ara Dabandjian delivers the eclectic sounds of Armenian and gypsy jazz music by fusing the warm melodies of the Mediterranean with traditional folk tunes that infuse listeners with an upbeat energy that is unique to his style.
 

Best known for founding the popular, Los Angeles based, folk ensemble Element Band, Ara Dabandjian’s compositions and musical arrangements have garnered multiple awards. Dabandjian delivers a unique expression of folk-fusion by incorporating deft instrumentation, lush vocal harmonies, and rich multi-ethnic musical styles that have landed him on prominent stages around the globe. His credits include film scoring, as well as theatre productions for academy award winners Tim Robbins and Alex Dinelaris.

  • The performance is part of the garden’s Open Day Last Sunday and is free with admission.
  • Reservations close the day before at 5pm.
  • Open rain or shine. We are not able to issue refunds.
  • The garden is open to the public 10am to 4pm on the second and last Sundays of each month. Closed the last Sunday of December.
  • We often sell out so reservations are recommended.
  • Reservations online are $7.50 (children 12 and under are free).
  • Admission is $10.00 at the gate when we are able to take walk-ins.
  • Members receive complimentary admission for two.
  • Picnics welcome.
  • Stay as long as you like, we just need to know if you are arriving in the morning or afternoon.
  • A docent tour is offered at 11am.
  • The garden is wheelchair accessible.
  • Sorry, no pets allowed.
