For Our Neighbors

The Board of Directors and staff of the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden are committed to reducing the impact of our cultural institution on the residential neighborhood where we are located. Every effort is made to inform all of our visitors, before they arrive, of the restriction on street parking. Visitors receive an email with parking instructions the day before their scheduled visit. Instructions for where to park are on our website and on every invitation and promotional email we send. For private events, the garden requires the use of valet service and clients must inform their guests on their invitations that street parking is prohibited.

Additionally, the garden requires the use of an audio engineer for any event with amplified music to control the volume and reduce the noise from these events. Please let us know of any disturbance by calling 626-399-1721 so we may take the necessary measures.

We are open to the public Wednesday through Friday, and the second and last Sundays of each month. Below is a list of upcoming private events and garden events outside of our regular open days:
