Bring a bottle of wine (or whatever) and enjoy a lovely start to the weekend. What a special place the garden is in the evening as reflections of the sky and trees shimmer on the ponds in the waning light.  The Storrier Stearns garden is an oasis that offers the serenity that has characterized Japanese gardens for centuries.

The garden has lifted most of its guidelines along with the City of Pasadena. Some restrictions remain and we appreciate your patience and attention to them.

* Every visitor must check in on the terrace of the house. No proof of registration is necessary--just the first name of the person who registered
* Masks are not required except for those visitors who are not fully vaccinated
* Up to six people may gather and sit together
* When you leave, take out any trash you might have
* Please do not disrupt the peacefulness many others are seeking : no talking on the phone, music or noisy celebrations
* Sorry, pets are not allowed
* You must leave at the end of your session
* Open rain or shine, we are unable to issue refunds or rainchecks
* A maximum of 15 people may enter and enjoy the teahouse. Please remove your shoes
* We recommend you bring water and insect repellent. Sanitizer will be available but we advise you to carry your own
* Cleaning takes place before the garden opens but not during open hours
To access check-in and the garden without stairs, you may park in the driveway on the west side next to the house
